PNB wins prize for Hindi use

Punjab National Bank has won the second prize in the Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield Competition for promoting the use of Hindi in the banking sector. Vice-president Mohammed Hameed Ansari presented the shield to Mr K.R. Kamath, chairman and managing director, PNB, at a glittering ceremony in Delhi at Vigyan Bhavan on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

Union home minister P. Chidambaram presided over the ceremony.

Union ministers of state for home Ajay Maken and Mullappally Ramachandran, executive director, PNB, Mohan V. Tanksale, chief general manager, PNB, Ranjan Dhawan and chief general manager, Rajbhasha, PNB, Shrilal Prasad, were also present on the occasion.
