Brahmbhatt a science post-graduate had began writing Gujarati poetry when he was a student of Bhavans College. " Rasbihari Das was our professor and he started a poetry corner on the soft board and I was then motivated to start writing poems," he said.
This then went on to writing for magazines. "We were staying in Railway colony in Ahmedabad and had about 20 Muslim families staying around us. This was the time when I learnt Urdu language," he added.
The official then began writing poems in Urdu. He has till now published three books of his poetry in Gujarati and two in Urdu. The Urdu books are titled Kandil and Sargoshi.
