British historian Lawrence Freedman has won the Lionel Gelber Prize for his book on the West Asian politics.The $15,000 prize honours books on international affairs. Freedman's book A Choice of Enemies: America Confronts the Middle East deals with the situation in the region.
The prize is given annually by the Lionel Gelber Foundation in partnership with the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto and Washington-based Foreign Policy magazine.
