A group of Oriya students from Delhi has written to Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seeking creation of facilities for them in the national capital, a representative of the students said on May 3.
Delhi Oriya Students Association president Tejeswar Parida said, in a letter to Patnaik, they have sought setting up of a cultural centre-cum-library and a higher education cell in Delhi.
He said they have also requested revival of a students' hostel that used to cater to the needs of Oriya students in Delhi. 'We have also sent letters on these issues to other concerned people in the state government,' he told IANS over phone from Delhi.
