Noted Hindi writer Hrishikesh Sulabh, famous for short stories and plays in Bideshiya shaili, has been chosen for the International Indu Sharma Katha Samman for 2010, for his story collection Vasant Ke Hatyare.
The award will be presented to Sulabh at a glittering function on July 8 this year at the House of Commons here. Sulabh, 55, works with All India Radio.
The award consists of an air passage Delhi-London-Delhi, Airport Tax, visa fee for UK, a shield, a shawl and one week's stay in London where the award winner would be taken to important historical sites, Tejendra Sharma, General Secretary of Katha, UK, announced in London on April 19.
Born in a small village of Laheji in Siwan district in Bihar, Sulabh received his basic schooling in the village school at Laheji.
