FIR filed against three AMU professors

An FIR has finally been registered against four AMU staffers and three media persons for forcefully landing up at Prof Sira's house and shooting him having sex with a rickshaw puller. The professor's body was discovered in his house on Wednesday evening.

They have been booked under various sections of the IPC for criminal intimidation, trespass and use of criminal force. The FIR has named AMU Proctor Dr Zubair Khan, Deputy Proctor Fareed Ahmed Khan, PRO Dr Rahat Abrar and Media Advisor Dr N A K Durrani. Three media persons have also been named - TV 100 Channel reporter, Syed Adil Murtaza, Voice of Nation reporter, Ashu Nesam and one unidentified reporter.

After the post-mortem on Thursday failed to ascertain the cause of death, the police now claim they are unable to locate his mobile phone. "We are still searching his apartment, haven't been able to locate it," said a police officer investigating the case.
