A book on Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party chairman Bhim Singh's travels around t he world on a motorcycle was unveiled ub Delhi on April 10.
Releasing the Hindi version of the book 'Peace Mission: Around the World on Motorcycle', Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit expressed hope that the story would be useful and inspiring for the readers.
Published by Har-Anand Publication, it deals with the adventures and experiences Singh, then a young student leader, had during his travel covering 120 countries of the world on a two-wheeler from 1967 to 1973.
Speaking on the occasion, former Home Secretary K Padmanabhaiah recalled Singh's contribution in holding
assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir in 1996 after a gap of nine years. "When political activity had died down in Kashmir and most political leaders were outside the state, his party had put up candidates even in remote areas of the state."
Har-Anand Publication chairman Narender Kumar, J-K Finance Commission Chairman Mahmood-ur-Rahman and former NCM nmember H S Josh were also present.
