Mumtaz V Kukkaje, a Std IX student of Manchi- Kolnadu Government High School has a good flair for story-writing.
With her unique sense of imagination she has brought out a collection of stories, ‘Kalpanegondhu Dari’. The book is one of the valuable contributions to Kannada literature. It comprises 11 stories including Arasi bandha bagya, Bikshuka Kalisida pata, Melu-keelu and Nijavadha Gelethana.
It was released by Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai during the annual talent award distribution programme at Manchi-Kolnadu Government High School. The speciality of the book is that the paintings in it are contributed by the SSLC students of the school themselves.
