Kovalam day 2 starts with musical treat

Flutes play centrestage. Drums and percussion instruments compliment each other. A keyboard from one corner of the stage produces music the orthodox way, keying in each note. Vocal music blends with instrumental, Carnatic with Western, at the fusion ensemble by Kudamaloor Janardanan and team. The second day of the Kovalam Literary Fest starts off with a musical treat to all the writers and book-lovers gathered at the Kanakakkunnu Palace today.

With four performances - two vocal and two instrumental - the music group led by Janardanan keeps the audience glued to their seats. Slow flute music gives way to the keyboard, guitar, drums, tabala and mrithangam to join in.
